Hey Rachel, sorry I'm just getting this feedback to you now--I got caught up w/ my job yesterday afternoon!
Degrees and institutions: I think the writing should be a little less biased, but I like all of the citations and how much information you were able to find about her schooling. It paints an accurate picture of her career path. Every time you say geology/earth science it's kind of confusing, I think it would be better/more accurate to just pick one. Also you should hyperlink more of the big terms like Gondwana and Transantarctic Mountains!
Career and Research: "some of anne grunow's most cited and notable work INCLUDES her research...." --just a grammar thing More hyperlinks! Will help the reader be able to understand all of the technical terms/jargon
Awards and Honors: Do you know when she was named a fellow or nominated to that board? If not, that's okay, but it could be a good detail to add.
Overall, I think this is super thorough and is a fantastic tribute to this clearly incredible woman scientist! -Anya — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aisteinberg99 (talk • contribs) 20:31, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Her research focuses areas of -- change to "Grunow is a geologist specializing in Antarctic tectonics, with her research using methods from geochronology and paleomagnetism."
Anne Marie Grunow[6] was born to Willard Grunow and Loris M. Grunow[7] and grew up in Pomona, New Jersey on a potato farm[2]. She graduated in 1977 from Absegami High School, where she preferred history over science and math[2].
Degrees and institutions you need to make it more encyclopedia sounding (no love affairs) and try to incorporate the facts into the sentences so the paragraph sounds less listy.
Just write: Geology (don't write Geology/Earth Science)
When you refer to her after the initial blurb you should simply say "Grunow"
Career & Research change: She later received a promotion to senior research scientist in 2010 where she continues to work today to: (add a comma to the previous sentence) where she is currently a senior research scientist. Combine the last three sentences: She is the curator of the Polar Rock Repository and the Magnetic Data from Subglacial Clasts, West Antarctic Ice Sheet, which she is was also an original data contributor.
Her work is included in the Global Change Master Directory. (should be added to the Key Research part)
Key Research - don't add the year (that is obvious from citation)
change "most cited research was" to "most cited research paper was"
Publications - make this a bullet pointed List with bibliographic information given BUT you could also remove this part and/or combine it with the Key Research section above.
Overall nice job!
