Name

[edit]

Per WP:COMMON, the article should be named Anne-Cath. Vestly, not Anne-Catharina Vestly. Nobody says Anne-Catharina. Punkmorten (talk) 10:45, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

At least in Norway they don't but a quick glance at Amazon.com shows that various forms of her name are being used in relation to her English translations. Also notice that most interlanguage articles use the same version of her name as this article presently does. __meco (talk) 11:09, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's likely because they mimic us. I'd rather emphasize that both Norwegian Wikipedias write Anne-Cath. Punkmorten (talk) 11:19, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is time to change the name of the article. She was a huge icon in Norway, known there only as Anne-Cath. Vestly. Whether her books were also published under her real, full name in other countries would weigh much less in my opinion. __meco (talk) 13:56, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
