[edit]Some notes which I have gathered on the Anna Wolkoff article which I have not included:
- It was actually Admiral Sir William Reginald Hall, the Director of Naval Intelligence during World War I who helped the Wolkoff family in their application for naturalization. Subsequently, in the Kent-Wolkoff trial he was called as a defence witness.
- Despite the fact that Anna Wolkoff was placed under surveillance by MI5 and Scotland Yard's Special Branch, she in fact knew Sir Vernon Kell socially and actually wrote to him for advice after she had been warned that her activities would get her into trouble.
- The German-born actor Ferdy Mayne was also an undercover agent for MI5, but his cover was blown upon testimony by Joan Miller.
- Another undercover agent for MI5 who pentrated the Right Club was Marjorie Amor (1898 – 1975). She also testified in the Kent-Wolkoff trial. She was "interned" in Holloway in May 1940 but was quickly withdrawn when it was found out that she was an informer for MI5.
- It was actually Guy Liddell, head of Counterintelligence for MI5 and Maxwell Knight's immediate superior, who spoke to Ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. on May 18, 1940, and informed the latter of Tyler Kent's activities, whereupon Kennedy agreed to waive Kent's diplomatic immunity.
