More about Pronunciation
[edit]I have tried to correct the ipa concerning the pronounciation, but I did not succeed. Her name is pronounced SHALLYE, NOT "SHARLIER". The ref (Martinsson) shows that. Could anybody with knowledge about ipa please correct it?` --Stiangutten (talk) 11:43, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]Is the pronunciation supposed to be English, or Swedish? If English, can someone do a respelling so that it can be interpreted properly? — kwami (talk) 01:23, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
This is how her name is prononunced. One should think that it was to be pronounced in the French way, but no; this is the correct way. Have I used any wrong symbols? --Stiangutten (talk) 14:38, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
I see that I have misspelled the pronunciation. It should be correct now.--Stiangutten (talk) 15:12, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry, I haven't been here for a while.
- The current pronunciation is not defined in the key it links to, so it's not clear what is meant. I assume it's supposed to be /ˈʃɑːljeɪ/ SHAHL-yay, but can't be sure. — kwami (talk) 07:53, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
- Her name is pronounced like the two english words SHALL YE. (The reference shows this) Could someone who knows how to use ipa in wikiarticles fix this? I know how to use ipa, but seem to need instruction in how to write them in wikipedia-articles...
