Article tidy-up and improvement
[edit]I'm planning on improving this article as it relies on several poor sources, such as links to commercial websites, blogs and forum. I'd also like to declare a potential conflict of interest on several fronts as (a) a family member (b) someone from whom I receive remuneration for doing his website, and some of the websites which he is involved. For what it is worth, I am not receiving money for editing this article. Other editors may wish to subject my edits to additional scrutiny, and for my part I plan to try and improve the sourcing. --Iantresman (talk) 14:22, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
- OK, I think I've improved the article, adding numerous secondary sources, and removing many of the primary and external commercial sources, and references to most of Scott's CDs. I can also give more details of my conflicts of interest. Those with whom I have a financial association because I do (or host) their website, include: Apollo Saxophone Quartet, Rob Buckland, Simone Rebello, Sandbach Town Council, Sandbach Concert Series, Lauren Scott, and Paul Mitchell-Davidson. I am also on the committee of Sandbach Concert Series. --Iantresman (talk) 14:46, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Iantresman: I've reviewed and found that the article is definitely better than start. I've bumped up the AFC rating, however further rating improvements generally have to come from other projects. I've added the BLP/Musicians/Jazz banners here to get an editor from those to do a review and determine if it warrants higher than a C class. Hasteur (talk) 17:23, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Hasteur: Thanks for that, and well done for finding the appropriate article, which I didn't mention in my post! --Iantresman (talk) 17:29, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
