Is he afflicted by dwarfism?

[edit]

I ask because someone once said to me 'that man on the radio who is a dwarf...well he has a dwarf's voice'. And if you listen you will know what I mean. He sometimes mentions his lack of neck, so I wondered if he had a mild form of dwarfism. Anyone know? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DavidFarmbrough (talkcontribs) 13:06, 15 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Here's an answer - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/andy-hamilton--guy-jenkin-comic-relief-comes-of-age-meet-two-of-its-guardians-1639772.html ixo (talk) 20:07, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if anyone is following this page, but a person more familiar with this lemma might wanna look at http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/tv_and_radio/article2301633.ece which mentions this person in a wikipedia context. --TheDJ (talkcontribs) 16:25, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is it rue that wikipedia once had his middle name marked down as 'Stanley'Franny-K 21:26, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at his height you will see a dwarf. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.185.83.84 (talk) 21:26, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Being 5'2" is hardly dwarfism, but he is certainly of significantly below average male height, even for someone born in 1954. --Ef80 (talk) 23:44, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Even if he is, "afflicted" probably wouldn't be his word of choice... JezGrove (talk) 20:24, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Facts

[edit]

Note that some of this may be rubbish seen as there are no sources and no information about him on the internet other than that brief BBC biography. The Internet Movie Database is maintained by regular users so things like his wife and full name may not be true. Note that other places on the internet will be getting their information from Wikipedia and so don't get stuck in a vicious circle.

If Andy himself were to edit this article I'm sure he could add much needed info!--EchetusXe (talk) 23:32, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew NEIL Hamilton

[edit]

I've just been to see him live, and he explained how Wiki has had his name wrong for ages. I know this might be considered OR, but we can't have the man's name wrong. Great set, by the way. LicenseFee (talk) 21:59, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah he mentions about the name in this article too, good job catching it [1] (ctrl+f type wikipedia search to see where he talks about this article)

David Donaldson

[edit]

I have a an old tape, released in 1981 in the UK, but apparently recorded in 1977 in New Zealand (or the UK, according to another source), that goes by the title "The English Language". I was told at the time that it was actually Andy Hamilton doing the (rather rude) comedy piece on the tape, and it certainly sounds like him. Has Andy ever gone by the alias "David Donaldson" to make this recording? I cannot find any reference to a "David Donaldson" apart from this single recording.

Some info here: http://www.discogs.com/David-Donaldson-The-English-Language/release/601023
