Pictures

[edit]

I have removed the gallery as it was clearly not "fair use". Note that we do have an untagged digital image of Christina's World at Image:Wyeth Andrew Christina's World 1948.jpg. It will be deleted in seven days unless someone does provide a source and a fair use rationale, includes it in the article, and amends the article to discuss the image a bit more (such as "why is this image so well known?", "what's its importance for Wyeth's career?", "what did Wyeath himself say about it", "why did Christina Olson play such an important role in Wyeth's work?"). Reverted recent edits

[edit]

I have reverted back to before KENZOKNOCKOUT's edits, as they did not seem to add any new content to the article but actually removed content (categories and interwikis). Quarma 15:04, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

What is going on with this page? Whomever wrote this is clearly exhibiting partial judgment of Wyeth's character.

Incomplete

[edit]

There are some serious gaps in this article and its integrity is compromised. A judicious hand is welcome. My own are too busy at the moment.

Colors

[edit]

what kind of colors did andrew wyeth use in his paintings? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.88.216.104 (talk) 02:19, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar

[edit]

This page requires a radical rewrite. I fixed the first sentence, (since I doubt that "Andrew Newell Wyeth...[was] also known as regional art", but then then found such problems with every-other sentence. I would fix it myself, but I don't have the time. Saudade7 16:19, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ref improve...

[edit]

This was kind of a stretch for me: taking on an article about an artist (I LOVE art, but I'm not an artist, so I don't know about technique, skill, etc. in any sort of detail.) But, this is one of my favorite artists. I somewhat copied the outline/heading structure for Vincent van Gogh (since that's a great article). I have A LOT more information about him - and his artistic development - in the Duff book at home. So, there's much more content that could be added there plus whatever else I could research if there are specific areas to focus on.

If someone sees this do you mind taking a look and see what you think about the article now?

Thanks!!!--CaroleHenson (talk) 05:05, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other info, See also, Writings...

[edit]

This article has a lot of other information type headings. Should any of them be combined?

  • See also - ok
  • Further information - ok or rename - Suggested reading
  • Writings - x - add to further information
  • External links - ok
  • Galleries - ok - x don't need this heading

(Tried to read up from the "Help" info and got confused...) Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:39, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
