[edit]Hi everyone, I'd like to invite editors to exchange their thoughts and share the reason for changes when editing this article. Also, let me shortly introduce who we are and why we'd like to connect with you: We're part of a research team (Art on our Mind) who are looking to increase visibility of Women of Colour artists on Wikipedia and at the same time staying aware of the discourses which we have criticised already in a book chapter (entitled "Whitespeak: How Race Works in South African Art Criticism Texts to Maintain the Arts as the Property of Whiteness" published in The Palgrave Handbook of Race and the Arts in Education, 2018). We received a WMF Rapid Grant for our workshops (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Rapid/Fouadas/AOOM) and find more about them here: https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/courses/Art_on_our_Mind/AOOM_Wikipedia_Workshops/home Fouadas (talk) 13:41, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
@Onel5969: I see that you delete 7,281 characters under the heading "Exhibitions" with the simple explanation "as per wp:isnot". I find that problematic, where you can find artists from the US being listed with their exhibitions without any restrictions, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heather_Dewey-Hagborg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Raspet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dash_Snow Please do understand that for artists from the continent there are not many printed references, or writing. The list of exhibition is a vital resource for researchers, as many of those have become notable over the years. We are a small project, increasing visibility for those, and cannot add pages about each and every exhibition which is notable online simultaneously to the articles we're creating. This takes time and effort and we appreciate help from everyone who is willing to contribute. That's why I am restoring the list of the exhibitions. Thanks for understanding. - Hi Fouadas, but please understand as per policy, any uncited material can be removed at any time and should not be re-added without references. That's policy. In addition, as per WP:ISNOT, the vast majority of these exhibitions are non-notable, and shouldn't be in the encyclopedia, even if cited. A good indication if an exhibition is notable, is if the location of the exhibition has a WP article. But that's just the first level of testing. There are many galleries which have WP, but individual exhibitions in them are not notable.

- Hi A1Cafel, the photo was uploaded during the Rapid Grant funded series of Wikipedia Workshops by the student Lithak. I have contacted the copyright holder to send an OTRS request. Fouadas (talk) 14:08, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
