- Comment: Let me know if none of these hooks work - I have some other ideas but did not want to overwhelm any potential reviewers. I hope the sourcing is okay, I used to do it fully sourced on the nomination page but I have been advised not to do so anymore. Please let me know if there any concerns or questions! :)
Moved to mainspace by DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk). Self-nominated at 23:54, 3 January 2024 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Andrew Still (actor); consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- The article meets DYK requirements (is new and long enough) and adequately sourced. QPQ check gives only one prior DYK credit: please confirm if this is only your second DYK nomination. Of all of the hooks, my preferred hooks are ALT1 and ALT2 (slight preference for ALT2 but will not object to ALT1 being promoted). Both are cited inline and verified in the source. One minor issue is that the article mentions Fi without any context on who Fi is, clarifying that Fi is an actor would probably help. It is worth noting that ALT2 is cited to the Mirror which is considered a yellow or borderline source: however, since the information came from Still himself and is uncontentious, I'm willing to accept it in this case. The nomination will be approved once the issue with the Fi mention is sorted out. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 07:23, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: Thank you so so so much! I think I have clarified it now – please let me know if it's not okay. I have received only one DYK credit so far – I have another 4 articles (including this one) that are waiting review, so I have not gone over the 5 limit (as in the QPQ). I am happy with either hook being used, with a slight preference for Alt1.😊DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 07:42, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. Both ALT1 and ALT2 are approved, with the choice left to the promoter. Given that the information isn't contentious and the sources for both include interviews with him, I'm willing to accept the reliability of the sources in this case. - Although ALT2 is sourced to the Irish branch of the "marginally-reliable" Daily Mirror, I think it works in a WP:ABOUTSELF way. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 14:19, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
