"Disendorsed"
[edit]Was Laming disendorsed or rather blocked from standing for preselection? The SBS source uses the first terminology, but to me that implies he had already been endorsed as the candidate. My understanding is that the preselection for the next election hasn't occurred yet. I think the ABC and Guardian articles have a better understanding of the process. Andrew Laming's qualifications
[edit]I came here to add a [citation needed] to some claims that are not evidenced on the page, but I am not a registered user so Wikipedia guidelines suggested I come to this page and make a request.
Laming has a long list of qualifications on his Wikipedia page and the citation for all of them is his AHPRA registration, which only confirms he has the following academic qualifications:
- Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, University of Queensland, Australia, 1990
- The other qualifications can be referenced from the Parliament website, which I have added as a citation. --Canley (talk) 06:25, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
Controversies - formal complaint to police by woman he took a photo of bending over at work.
[edit]Seriously, what's with the failure to mention that Andrew Laming was the subject of a formal complaint to police by Crystal White for taking a photo of her bending over without consent - it would be very biased and selective to not include that fact under the list of Andrew Laming controversies - it caused a media storm in Australia. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-30/woman-reports-information-to-police-about-andrew-laming-photo/100038282 MathewMunro (talk) 15:06, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- He was proven no guilt and the nine network apologized for the false accusation .... both the false accusation and the false accusation and the apology should both be included to avoid any perceived bias . https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/media/nine-apologises-to-former-federal-mp-andrew-laming-over-false-upskirt-claim-after-legal-battle/news-story/e2998ba92a4ffd9d9e152840a4177079 157.211.13.231 (talk) 22:56, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
