IP Edits
[edit]Certain IP edits keep reverting this article to an older version that was cleaned up for valid reasons. There is never a reason entered for these edits and they all tend to be IPs that exclusively edit this article and resolve to the same ISP & location. Given that this article was apparently started by its subject as an autobio, it's plausible that these edits may also be from the subject. I'm just putting this here as a heads up for other editors.
I also think there might be some issues re:notability, but I'm erring on the side of keeping the article. Capscap (talk) 02:15, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
Notability?
[edit]Aside from winning a lot of fellowships, attending a lot of prestigious schools, and running a run of the mill NGO (which is not important enough to warrant its own Wikipedia page) long-distance while working as an Analyst for a hedge-fund while in New York for the past 6 years....why does this person have an article? Especially as there are 30-40+ highly accomplished Marshall Scholars annually and because it seems that it is the person himself who has written the article. This largely seems to be a self-promotional article, particularly due to the admission of weird tidbits like his Marathon hobby. Information on Even Ground also seems suspect - their website says 1500, a fellowship he won says 700 (http://pfnyc.org/david-rockefeller-fellows-2014-2015/).
Flagging for deletion and tried to tone down the promotional nature of the article. ....added in this series of edits (31 Jan – 1 Feb 2015) by 50.241.117.18 (contributions)
Update: Thank you to the contributor who added new references. Could you re-add them without altering the content? (E.g. removal of the clarification that the EPA Award was for increasing the use of recycled paper of his high school, etc, explanation that he has been working at Paulson & Co since 2009, clarification that he co-authored a chapter of a book, not the entire book). Also, many of the new references added come from non-neutral sources (e.g. the contributor-submitted description to a book chapter) - would be great to get independent verification. ....added in this pair of edits (2 Feb 2015) by 2601:6:B80:843:3C1E:4BC2:EDA0:45C1 (contributions).
- Three points:
- When you create a new thread in a talk page, do so at the foot of the page. (I have moved this thread down from the top.)
- When you add a comment, sign it, by making four consecutive taps on the tilde ("~") key.
- I read above: "Flagging for deletion". However, I do not see that anybody has flagged this for deletion. If anyone wants to flag it for deletion, here's how. (Note that it starts by saying that you have to be logged in.)
