Lord Hardie took the oath in the House of Lords on 15 January this year (see Hansard col 585), and is not listed among the ineligible Lords which should include all Senators of the College of Justice. He is included on the list of Lords. That could only mean that according to the House of Lords authorities, he must no longer be a Senator of the College of Justice. But I cannot find any official or unofficial confirmation that he has retired, and he is still listed as such on the Scottish Judiciary website. Can anyone else work out what is going on?
