Grove & Vadasz(Do NOT perpetuate my mis-punctuation of V's name!)
A later and less well-known but fully credible mainstream-published book changes that sequence. (This is my IOU, promising to buckle down, and dig up again the IIRC RS hardbound published book that inter magna alia contests on technical grounds the popular description of the timing of G's & V's hiring.) IIRC, the way it goes is something like this: ASG was formally notified of the filing for incorporation (or something) and then said yes first, but V actually on paper became the third emp, before G became the fourth, so on official company paper their legal order of employments is V then G: IIRC it sounds as if Grove was committed on Sat or Sun, but TCBed by doing the paperwork on Mon or Tues, after V had finished it first. IMO, a merely amusing sidelight on what our minds need to lie to us about, in order to avoid our drowning in the irrelevant details of reality. (In my mind, upon finally reading the details in the last few years or decade, the usually invisible V had been distorted into a "mere worker-bee" who needed to be nailed down quickly for the sake of his day-to-day expertise on, say, trouble shooting or maintaining a crucial lab or prototyping resource, but that notion really was a WAG encouraged by the sequence of the three CEOs seeming as if it might imply a succession of leaders in order of initial expertise; I feel silly for entertaining such a naive "postdictive" model of business- and research- leadership!)
