Cleaning up claims in Political Career section
[edit]I've cleared up claims in the Political Career section to stick to what is actually mentioned in the cited articles, and to replace the journalist-speak 'there have been calls' and similar with specific attribution to the speaker in question (in this case, the leader of the opposition). The article has an ongoing issue that the particular claims chosen are very specifically cherry-picked, suggesting an agenda on the part of the editor who added them, but that's par for the course on politicians' articles. Since I have a COI as a colleague of Cllr Gant I'll restrict myself to just factual tidying. Chris Smowton (talk) 12:31, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
- 'Colleague' is a little disingenuous - you are a fellow Liberal Democrat local political activist and politician. Thanks for openly declaring your COI though. It's always going to be difficult to obtain consensus about a NPOV in this article, as AG is a controversial and polarising figure locally who seems determined to promote a pro-cycling agenda to the disadvantage of all other forms of transport in Oxfordshire. --Ef80 (talk) 14:06, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
