[edit]I think that she was the first winner is significant if the show is renewed for another season. Also, the date of the announcement may be important. Finally, I believe the fact that she was a cashier in a dollar store is notable because it is so far removed from the world of fashion models and lends to the notable "rags to riches" nature of the story.
