Other genres?
[edit]He is and have ever been a Gospel musician, but his music is very influented by Funk, Soul and R&B. Isn't this true? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jannizz (talk • contribs) 16:05, 1 March 2007 (UTC).
Dispute on formation date Andrae Crouch and Disciples
[edit]I am currently reading "Uncloudy Day:The Gospel Music Encyclopedia" and on page 107 there is an article on Crouch where he lists the band as forming when Andrae was 16. With his birthdate of 1947, that would indicate 1963 as the year the band formed instead of 1965. Since the current date is NOT cited, I am changing this and adding a citation. If someone can show the 1965 date is accurate, I will be happy to revert. GBrady (talk) 17:56, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

- Not according to Robert Jablon of The Associated Press who wrote his obituary: http://www.tributes.com/obituary/read/Andra%C3%A9-Crouch-102052107 . Do you have a source to support your claim? Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:52, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Powell, Mark Allan (2002). Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music. Peabody, Massachusetts: Hendrickson Publishers. p. 210–214. ISBN 978-1565636798. makes no mention of either city but his bio at AllMusic https://www.allmusic.com/artist/andra%C3%A9-crouch-mn0000031263/biography also states, "born July 1, 1942, in San Francisco, California".
