Awards in opening paragraph
[edit]Hello @Melcous: I don't mind seeing "award-winning" taken out of the opening paragraph, but I did put that there to help establish notability. As you know, significant awards are a notability criteria for any biographic article, and we're asked to establish notability in the lede. Would that be more appropriate to simply mention his Michener Award? Cheers. Robincantin (talk) 13:15, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- Robincantin, yes if he has won a particular significant award, I don't see why that shouldn't be mentioned in the lead. The adjective "award winning" is just so meaningless because it could refer to literally any award, however insignificant. Thanks, Melcous (talk) 13:20, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- Melcous, good I'll put a simple mention of the Michener, since that seems to be the most significant.Robincantin (talk) 14:01, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
