Major issues
[edit]Two of 'em:
- The biography is lifted almost entirely from his profile at his official website - [1]
- Up until Oct 9, 2008 all work on this article had been don under either the subjects name or his business' name, "User:DeemonProductions". The state of the bio was a shad closer to the "official" one (his first name was later replaced with his last). Of the 14 edits since, User:Andie Tong has edited the article again on June 8.

- Isn't replacing the entire article--including the infobox image, which I free-licensed myself--with a gigantic copyright tag a bit much? Couldn't the material just be paraphrased or removed? Nightscream (talk) 03:05, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- IIUC, that's how the cv tag works, and it supposed to be used if a substantial portion of the article - in this case darn near all - is lifted.
- And unfortunately the sweep I'm doing is trying to churn through the comics creator bios to clean up/update the infoboxes. I looked at the "official website" to see if it could fill in the DoB and why someone living in London has been picked up by the Australia project. The copyvio was blatant and that left 3 options: tag it, nuke it, or fix it. Fixing it wasn't an option. Nuking it would have left 2 disjointed sentences and the Ref and EL section (btw - is the Twitter appropriate there?) and likely no one noticing. Tagging it at least pops it up on more radars.
- And in all honest, the tag added 11 lines of code to the page. As per what it added - "Please do not remove or change this Copyvio message until the issue is settled" - once the bio section is fixed, if it can be, the tag should be removed. - J Greb (talk) 03:36, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- Why was fixing it not an option? Nightscream (talk) 04:16, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- L&S - I'm trying to limit "added side projects" for myself. I'm working through the articles to check/update the infobox. I've already added image checking and updating project headers. "Rewrite random articles" is something I don't need.
- Look, I'll split the dif and move the infobox and lead above the CV tag. If you feel that there is something there that can be salvaged, by all means, do it. Even if it's punching out the bio and re-stubbing the article.
