- Agreed, but as to the name, it appears only as de Greye (or de Grei) in Domesday. Never saw a FitzTurgis there nor in any subsequent documents relating to the Grey estates. Tmangray 16:48, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
The first name Anchetil / Anketil (< Old Norse Asketill) is clearly Norman and did not exist in Picardy at that time. He could not come from Picardy.Nortmannus (talk)
- As a surname it was still only common in Normandy until the W.W.I. See f. e. : [1]
