Re: Tsar Ivan IV at the deathbed of his wife Vasilisa

This painting, however attractive, has no real relevance to the article. The picture is labelled misleadingly, it's not the same wife on the deathbed, and the Tsar himself is much older than he was at the time of Anastasia's death. Therefore, I contend that it fails WP:IMAGE's "Images must be relevant to the article they appear in ..." instruction, and should not be included. -- Saaber 01:58, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is such thing as artistic licence, don't you know? Almost all articles on Polish kings are illustrated by images which have nothing to do with their real appearance and nobody rises a havoc about it. It seems that you don't like the article to be improved. Therefore, I reverted it back to the version before my baneful interference. Bye, Ghirla ^-трёп- 08:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A quick inspection of the articles on Polish kings shows that they were, at the very least, intended to represent the subjects in question, and they were drawn by an artist whose works "[have become] almost standard illustrations of many key events from the Polish history." This isn't about tearing down your efforts, Ghirlandajo -- it's just that this one painting is better left on Ivan IV's page. -- Saaber 18:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This picture is labeled as being of Ivan's sixth wife (Vasilisa Melentyevna) on his page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_IV_of_Russia), so regardless of relevance, it should be double checked.IMKatgrrl (talk) 20:48, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anastasia of Russia → Anastasia Romanovna — This title makes more sense. Absolutely no mention of her as Anastasia of Russia search "Anastasia of Russia". Most call her Anastasia Romanovna, see "Anastasia Romanovna"--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 05:44, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- No. Romanovna is not a surname like Romanov. Romanovna just means "daughter of Roman." Her brother's descendants adopted the surname later on and became the Imperial Romanov dynasty.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 06:54, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
