I don't know if that's been discussed in reliable sources that look at the show (and tbf, TXF is a sci-fi/fantasy show, so the whole thing is ahistorical). That said, if we can find some indigenous sources that critique the plot, etc., I think that would make a great addition. @Grapple X: Do you happen to know of anything that talks about this?--Gen. @Francis Tyers: I started a paragraph at the bottom of the reception section that discusses similar critiques. I haven't been able to find anything that discusses the ahistorical nature of the plot, but I found a few sources that mention how the use of the Navajo is pretty cliched and stereotypical. Hey! Thanks for your efforts. I also went looking for some time but couldn't find anything. I'm simultaneously surprised (it's fairly common knowledge at least among people who know anything about the history of the Southwest-Northwest) and unsurprised (most people don't know much about pre-colonial US history). I suppose the intersection of people who both know something about the history of the Southwest-Northwest and people who watch the X-files is pretty small :) - Francis Tyers · 02:29, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
