A fact from Anal people appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 1 April 2012 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
The contents of the Anal people page were merged into Anāl Naga on 2 April 2018. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.
A search for the words "According to Sanajaoba Naorem, in Chakpikarong the relics of the Paleolithic period have been found by the archeologists." suggests that content in this article here seems to be identical to content from "A Case Study of the Anal Naga Tribe" by SR Tohring at http://serialsjournals.com/serialjournalmanager/pdf/1366712774.pdf. Unfortunately, bandwidth limits prevent me from looking directly at that source, so I have to rely on the Google preview.
Anal Naga is a tribe belonging to Naga [1] .The name itself as Anal Naga is the essence of why this page was created. please check Tangkhul Naga , Ao Naga , Angami NagaPoumai Naga or Sumi Naga. We are from the same group. I do not understand why Anal people is created in the first place as it is a misrepresentation of Anal Naga without any historical facts and evidences. information provided on Anal people page is baseless and void. The population provided is very wrong, the religion information is also so wrong, the information on the heading LIFESTYLE is vague. Terms usage of Anal Naga people language is about 10% correct only. And, if you can see the references provided, it is entirely based on Col Ved Prakash's book on North East which is a misinformation of that region, why because on the list of NAGA TRIBE, he has mentioned CHIRU TRIBE as NAGA while on the other hand CHIRU TRIBE has a different view of itself. (please check the reference provide. http://www.isca.in/IJSS/Archive/v4/i11/9.ISCA-IRJSS-2015-250.pdf[2]Anal Naga contains information that is based on what Anal Naga people are in general and the facts and evidences are all known to the people of Anal Naga. Hence the name Anal Naga is neccessary for the people of Anal Naga to keep their identity intact. [3] Request you to verify on the references provided.
If you believe that the information provided here is wrong, then feel free to correct this page, but do not create an entirely different page about the same subject (see WP:A10). If you have issues with the page title: there is a "move" button at the top with which you can rename the page. --HyperGaruda (talk) 05:17, 6 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm in support of the merge under name Anāl Naga. This way correct information of both the pages can be easilyy kept as well as correct name for the tribe will be used. Mr RD22:36, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
