Fair use rationale for Image:Ana tell me something.JPG

[edit]

Image:Ana tell me something.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair Use of CD cover.

[edit]

The image was removed with the edit summary claiming that it failed WP:NFCC#2. I don't see that an image of a CD cover in a section talking about said CD would be considered as "a manner that is likely to replace the original market role of the original copyrighted media." PLease clarify my understanding on this one? -- RoninBK T C 13:58, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry if the edit summary was misleading. It was not NFCC#2 I was referring to, but the second section section entitled "Images" (WP:NFC#Images_2); click the link and it will bring you to the Unacceptable Use section. Per #1 in that section, "An album cover as part of a discography, as per the above." It says that this fails NFCC#8, "Significance. Non-free content is used only if its presence would significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding." Basically, it was removed because it was part of a discography and has no critical commentary (NFC also says "Cover art: Cover art from various items, for identification only in the context of critical commentary of that item (not for identification without critical commentary)." Does that make sense? (Cross posted to article talk page) - AWeenieMan (talk) 15:05, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The image, as it stands fails WP:NFCC#8. It is not important enough for the understanding of the article to justify its use. Rettetast (talk) 20:04, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
