Justification for removal of edits by user 195.93.21.73
[edit]The edit was as follows - "ALthough they do use keyboards as an integral part of the bands sound, they do not sample or re-do ANY nintendo songs in their music and the keyboard use differs greatly from other nintendo bands."
This has been removed for the following reasons:
1) The Wikipedia definition of Nintendocore states that "Nintendocore is a genre of music inspired by the music or soundtracks which accompany 8-bit video games ... It is characterized by the intensity of metalcore music joined with keyboard parts that sound similar to 8-bit video game music but is occasionally remixed techno variations of old NES video game themes." Therefore the argument that the band are not Nintendocore because "they do not sample or re-do ANY nintendo songs in their music" does not place them outside of the Nintendocore genre.
2) The edit was placed in entirely the wrong section (at the end of "External links"), and was poorly capitalised and highly subjective.
3) The reference in the article to Nintendocore was not placed in the main section, but in the "See also" section, implying that while the band are not specifically Nintendocore, they may be compared to certain bands in that genre
If it is felt necessary to do so, an edit could be placed in the article stating something to the effect of "While An Albatross may be compared by some to certain bands within the sub-genre of Nintendocore, it should be noted that their use of keyboards does differ from that of strictly Nintendocore bands" --Lucian Gregory 03:28, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
