So many problems
[edit]I don't know where to begin with this article. I clicked every citation and followed every link and the vast majority of these are worthless pages with no information and do not validate the referenced information from the article.
The entire page is written as if Amy Powers herself (or someone associated with her) wrote it. There is very little detail or information and it's debatable if this individual belongs in the Wikipedia at all. Following the links provided, I discovered that more than half of what is written here is lifted directly off of her BIO on one of the theater citation.
I am still debating if this article needs to be submitted for speedy deletion. There is a lot of work to do on this article. If other editors want to keep hacking away at it, be my guest. It's already become a stub from the lack of information. I'm afraid pulling any more will result in deleting the article all together. I'd like to see someone jump in here with real citations and details about the person. But as of right now, I think the whole thing needs a tear down and rebuild from the ground up.Steinway1701Talk | 06:16, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
- I removed the "Multiple Issues" template after heavily editing the article. I've got it down to facts, but it's very light on substance. After reading all the citation articles and doing an internet search for this individual, I'm still not sure she warrants a dedicated article simply because her body or work is not particularly noteworthy. It seems that this article was created for promotional purposes rather than a genuine need to provide encyclopedic information to the general public. Perhaps it should still be considered for removal. As of now, I feel the content that is here is accurate and properly sourced, if not totally noteworthy. Steinway1701Talk | 20:47, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
I've done my best
[edit]I've done my best to get this article to an encyclopedic conversation. It's lacking substance and I question if the individual is noteworthy enough to constitute a dedicated Wikipedia article. I'll keep an eye on it and see if any other editors can bring more substantive detail. I'd like to see this article be filled with information that would prove it's a relevant contribution to the collection. As of right now, I'm on the fence. Steinway1701Talk | 20:30, 10 May 2012 (UTC)
Details about the shows
[edit]There is no reason to include the cast and production details of the individual shows Powers has worked on. This is a biographical page about an individual; not the playbill for a list of shows she had a part in producing. If these musical production are important enough to warrant a list of cast, production dates, and reviews, then an individual article should be written for each and linked back to this article.
