Copy editing and improving the article in a general sense
Prompted by the backlog elimination drive of the guild of copy editors (of which I am not a member) I started to work on the Amsterdam Joffers article. The article was in a very bad shape. I hope my edits improved the article but there is still a lot of work to do. I edited the "international comparison" section which, lacking inline citations, smacks of original research. Also, the "list of selected works" really is not very useful. I would like to replace it with a "Gallery" of paintings, and not only include Theresa Schwartze (who in fact is not even considered part of the Joffers) but make an effort to show a picture of each of the members. Questions: one, is the international comparison section in my edited version acceptable? Two, can I just delete the "selected works" section and replace it with a Gallery? Suze Robertson was not part of the Amsterdamse Joffers. She was older, she was not in Amsterdam, and she did not know any of the Joffers personally. In Lizzy Ansingh's correspondence, no letters to or from Robertson are present. Cf https://www.schwartze-ansingh.comX10 (talk) 12:16, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
