The tape can't be 1mm thick.
From the reel and tape dimensions later in the article, I would calculate from about 1.5mil (1mil = 0.001 inch) down to 1mil. Both 1mil and 1.5mil have been used for audio reel to reel tape. I will change the page to 1mil, if anyone knows more accurately, change it again. Gah4 (talk) 19:37, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
3.7in/s
[edit]I note that this page indicates 3.7in/s. Speeds like 7.5in/s, and 3.75in/s have been popular for a long time, so I wonder if it really is 3.75in/s. It seems that most of the other VTR pages don't indicate speed at all. I always thought the 1in tapes were 7.5in/s. Are there any references for the speed? Gah4 (talk) 23:39, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Then ones [1] seem to be 9.6in/s. Gah4 (talk) 23:59, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
