  1. Amore redirects to Amore (disambiguation)
Why do you feel the Bocelli album isn't the primary meaning? Traffic stats from December comparing the base name to the (disambiguation) page indicate that more people hitting the page didn't go on to the dab. -- JHunterJ (talk) 14:32, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't look at stats for that one. I saw that it had previously been moved with the comment that were no other pages called Amore, but now there were several (Amore (The Hooters album), Amore!, Amore (1936 film)) plus there is the general meaning of the word, the Italian for Love). When I fixed the links due to my move (most were just from the template) the Love meaning was meant on several occasions. If you want to move it back I will submit it properly via WP:RM. Well, Love doesn't mention "amore", and the 1936 film has no article to disambiguate, so there are other issues to work though here. :-) I'm in no rush to undo your move, but I also don't want to complete the steps yet.... -- JHunterJ (talk) 15:03, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Its true about Love, although if someone was to add to the Wiki "or as they say in Italian Amore" it would be correct to disambiguate that to Love as it is a direct translation. A completely specious example perhaps but it could happen :) The stats for December for the relevant pages are Amore 1996, Amore (disambiguation) 280, Amore (The Hooters album) 421 and Amore! 124. So I suppose it depends on whether that counts as significant per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. I'd say the difference between the stats for the Hooters album (which is completely unambiguous) and for Amore (which of course is ambiguous), coupled with the the number of incoming links, doesn't clearly show that the Bocelli album should be primary. If you are going to move it back that's fine, if you're not even better! Tassedethe (talk) 15:54, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This discussion would better be held either at Talk:Amore (disambiguation), or (for broader participation) at Wikipedia talk:Disambiguation. However, for the record, I think the primary meaning of Amore is the Italian word for love, one of the few Italian words likely known to most English speakers - even if it is not mentioned in the "Love" article. Therefore, the disambig should sit at Amore. bd2412 T 19:55, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will add that it is, strictly speaking, incorrect to say that this is not referenced in Love, as that is the link to which the interwiki with the Italian Wikipedia entry points. bd2412 T 20:02, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
