The article renders Chakma's name in native script as some script that my old browser doesn't support, but another line in the infobox template identifies the language that it comes from as "bn" — Bengali. Bengali writing, though, appears clearly on my browser. Is that really Bengali writing there? Anyway, bn:WP says that his name is written "অমিত চাকমা" in Bengali. Which is right? @Kelisi: My hunch is that the native name field used to contain Bengali writing, but someone changed it to something in the Chakma language without adjusting the native name lang field accordingly. You can search the article history if you want to test that theory. The current situation (a script that isn't Bengali labeled as bn) is wrong. The best way to fix it is less clear. @Worldbruce: — Ah yes, the original native name was inserted by User:Dead.rabbit on 4 March 2017, and it was Bengali (অমিত চাকমা), but then User:Ripon Chakma changed it to its current form on 3 October 2019. I don't know that MOS:LEADLANG applies in any way, actually. "Native name" surely means the way in which the name is written in its source language. Since that seems to be Chakma, the language code ought to be "ccp". So I'll put that. Kelisi (talk) 04:29, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
