A fact from Amir al-hajj appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 27 August 2015 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that the amir al-hajj supervised the funding and supply of the annual Hajj pilgrim caravan to Mecca and Medina, and its protection from Bedouin raiders?
User:Al Ameer son: Really nice little article you have made here, congrats! ...but I cannot find the Biblio-refs for Muhammad, p. 20., Creighton, p. 133, or Crisholm, p. 105? Cheers, Huldra (talk) 21:59, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Mayer, 1933, pp. 50, 104, 165 all mention various Amir al-hajj, all predating the once who are presently mentioned in the article. Thankfully, Mayer gives a nice little bio about each of them....and that the 1933 data is no longer copyrighted....pages can be scanned and put it into this cat at commons, so that one can link directly to the page.
