Note on Use of Primary Sources

[edit]

To all who review this article for citations proving notability, search for citations of The Auk and of the AOU. The historic organization is among the "oft' quoted, seldom written about." Most of the authoritative sources on the organization are primary. The notability of the organization is proven by how often it's members and publications are quoted as authoritative in matters of zoology and ornithology for over a hundred years. Updates needed

[edit]

I am an employee of AOS, so it's a conflict of interest for me to do any of this myself. However, this whole page is sorely in need of an overhaul! 2600:6C54:7600:3384:C1BE:A60A:F255:5C25 (talk) 20:59, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
