problem with an 'edit' button

[edit]

There doesn't seem to be an edit button for the 'Israel' section. Can someone fix that? Also, was there a pre-existing location for that section? Thanks, CasualObserver'48 (talk) 06:42, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the subsection heading "Israel" because the main part of the "International Affairs" section also discussed Israel and there didn't seem to be any purpose to the subsection heading. Most of the text for the "International Affairs" section came from the "International Affairs" section of American Jews (here). The rest of the section came from Israel lobby in the United States. --Richard S (talk) 06:54, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I got back to it, and will likely contribute more. Actually, for a while I have become familiar with the president election section. I am likewise familiar with the International section, including some of the most recent additions. These have endured in NPOV terms quite well over time, considering the subject matter, but I remain unconvinced that it includes sufficient material to be considered encyclopedic coverage. Being an inclusionist, I tend to add new, or should I say previously absent, content and re-phrase much existing. Regards, CasualObserver'48 (talk) 08:28, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

White Jews, white Christians

[edit]

@User:The Human Trumpet Solo, the source actually does mention "White Protestant", "White Catholic", and "White Jewish" in the "Vote by Religion Among Whites" section. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 08:31, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge from Jewish conservatism

[edit]
The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
To not merge; uncontested objection and no support; sufficiently distinct to warrant separate discussion. Klbrain (talk) 11:14, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are two or more pages on related subjects that have a large overlap and might be WP:redundant. Wikipedia is not a dictionary; there does not need to be a separate entry for every concept.
Open to merging Jewish conservatism with Judaism and politics instead. FatalSubjectivities (talk) 17:38, 27 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose the move of an article with international scope to one with American scope; oppose a merge to Judaism and politics too, given that Jewish conservatism covers both social and political conservatism, and it seems reasonable to link the two. Klbrain (talk) 20:17, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose per Klbrain. Biohistorian15 (talk) 11:01, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
