For the Season 21 section of the page, for the sentence that talks about the premiere date, delete the "21" and add the word "the" between "that" and "season". Can you please fix that? Please. 2601:40A:8400:5A40:EDEE:269D:D288:9EE2 (talk) 12:12, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Infobox change
[edit]Hellooo, so I was planning on adding every director that has been on the show and I also wanted to move them down to production instead of being on the top so it doesn't look like a huge long list of all these directors before the rest of the cast. But let me know if I can move directors under the Production section in the info box so I can add in every director that's been there. If I can't then I totally understand. TypicallyRyan (talk) 21:58, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- You added a lot of trivia, not just to infobox. Wikipedia is not a place for indiscriminate information per WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Who adds for example lighting director or rehearsal pianist in wikipedia articles? They are furthermore unsourced. Unsourced information can be removed. The ones I removed are the worst examples, I would say most of what you added could be removed. It was a small table which was reasonably stable for years (it was created over 10 years ago - e.g. a version from 2014 [1]), and you bloated it into one bulky table. You should have asked first to change a long-standing stable table. Hzh (talk) 07:10, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- I actually wasn't the one who added the mentors and cast and all those guys, I only added the hosts and judges. Someone else added the extra cast on there and I left it that way because I thought it'd be fine. But the table that was shown on there made it seem like each judge stayed on for one extra season at least in the coding to make that table. Sure it didn't seem like it on the actual table but it was just confusing to me. So the table I made I thought would be easier to understand it. Now again with the extra cast I originally thought it would be too much but at this point, I'm fine with those guys being on there. I haven't gotten any complaints with that table yet (apart from.. you) and I don't want to change anything about it right now. TypicallyRyan (talk) 16:38, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Well, whatever the case, per WP:BRD, if someone reverted edits back to a long-standing one, then it should be discussed before the new edit is added back, so I will put the original long-standing table back, and you can discuss first whether to change it before you add a new one. Hzh (talk) 16:52, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Dude it's completely fine, No one has complained about it again apart from you. I took out the other guys if you dont want them in there. But just leave the table the way it was. Again no one has said anything to me about it. You've been warned about editing these kinds of things before and I'm not surprised its happening again. I can't do anything else about this but as long as no one has said a thing about it then it's completely fine the way it was. Yes I've been warned too and I've learned my lessons as well. But this table is actually helpful for other people. So stop changing my tables and just leave them the way they are. TypicallyRyan (talk) 17:19, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- Read WP:BRD, you should not have reverted other people's edit once your decision to add a new table has been reverted. If you want to complain about what I did, take it to the admin noticeboard. Note also that the ANI notice has got little to do with me, someone just wanted me to support them in the discussion. Hzh (talk) 17:29, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- I didn't really revert the table, if I did it would've said undo edit or somethin like that. I just changed the entire table to something more understandable (imo). Obviously people have different views and opinions. I respect their positions. It may not have seemed that way earlier but that's what I honestly think. I also apologize for how I reacted, I should've said it in a nicer tone. But my anger took over and I apologize. Now other tv shows have this kind of table as well and it seems to work for those pages. So why wouldn't it work for this one? TypicallyRyan (talk) 17:37, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think there is any Wiki article that lists lighting director and rehearsal pianist, and if you find any name of minor production crew in TV or film articles you should remove them. Those things belong to IMDb, and there are so many names in the production crew given there it is impossible for any Wiki article to list them. Only the most important names involved in the production are given. Hzh (talk) 17:54, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
- I mean that's true, but we could also link their names to the American Idol main page.. actually prolly not cause were already on it. But I took them out so they're not there anymore. TypicallyRyan (talk) 20:08, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
