Advice to print out episode guide
[edit]Simonapro's advice to "print/ out the episode guide" to put in dvd case clearly violates WP:NOT!!!! " Instruction manuals - while Wikipedia has descriptions of people, places, and things, Wikipedia articles should not include instruction - advice ( legal, medical, or otherwise), suggestions, or contain "how-to"s." This is a clear and blatant violation of wikipolicy and should be removed immediately!!! Or provide a citation!!! It is unveriafiable and not independently sourced! WP:NOR !!! - I have to agree with you here. This is a blatant violation of wikipolicy. --Siva1979Talk to me 20:43, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Amherst please see Wikipedia:Harassment WP:HA "Wikistalking".
This page in a nutshell: Do not stop other editors from enjoying Wikipedia by making threats, nitpicking good-faith edits to different articles, repeated personal attacks or posting personal information. |
You came here because of a problem you had with my edit on freemasonry. That is called wikistalking and violates WP:HA (Simonapro 06:34, 6 June 2006 (UTC))
- Sorry guys, I have never experienced either of you on wikipedia, and in fact made my edits before going to the talk page, but I saw the things about the episode guides as both original research, violation of npov, and made the article look more like a fan that was upset at CBS than a helpful section about dvd order. People can figure the rest out for themselves, but we probably do need some citations about the producers intended order. - Xtreme680 09:12, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Airing Order
[edit]Actually this article was pretty empty until I added the episode order information. Xtreme680, Amherst above left wikipedia and had his account closed for violation of basic wikipedia policies so I don't care about that history. I did however add the edit back in which says that the episode order does not make sense. It does not make sense because dead characters suddenly appear again if they are played out of order, which is why it doesn't make sense. (Simonapro 07:48, 11 August 2006 (UTC))
+++ This is questioning the validity of the revised order that the contributer suggests they be watched. States that this is from their personal viewing of the episodes. This sounds more like an opinion, not fact. If you view the product codes, you can get the actual order they were produced (assuming that those codes are correct). I don't think that a persons personal opinions as to order to watch the episodes can be considered factual so should not be included on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.249.115.120 (talk) 05:29, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
Correction
[edit]"Unbeknowest to Buck, another force is guiding Caleb: his dead sister, Merlyn.". That statement is not true. Buck called her a bitch in the first episode when he realized that she told Caleb to "go home".
- When you're right, you're right. Thanks for the catch and correction. - Nick Curtis 13:48, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Orthography
[edit]Could someone check this article for spelling and other formal mistakes? English is not my first language, so I wouldn't feel very much qualified to correct all the mistakes in the article; currently it seems like someone vandalized it more or less intentionally. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.171.163.149 (talk) 21:11, 11 May 2007 (UTC).
Episode notability
[edit]Many or all of the existing individual episode pages for this series appear to fail the notability guidelines for television episodes, and have been tagged accordingly. These articles can be improved through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. Overly long plot summaries should be edited, to a maximum length of approximately ten words per minute of screen time. Trivia should be integrated into the body of the article, or removed if it is not directly relevant. Quotes and images should only be used as part of a critical analysis of the episode. You might also consider merging any notable information onto the show's "List of episodes" or season pages. Otherwise, when these pages come up for review in fourteen days, they may be redirected, merged or deleted. If you want any help or further information, then come to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television/Episode coverage. Thanks. Gwinva 18:30, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Intro
[edit]Introduction reads "Universal's horror-themed cable channel Chiller, which launched March 1, 2007, began airing American Gothic for the first time on American television in nearly a decade." "
I'm sure I've seen American Gothic re-runs in the last few years, possibly on the sci-fi channel. Suggest citation if this is actually the first time in 'nearly a decade' that the show has been on TV. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.169.104.132 (talk) 21:16, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
idea if series ev er continued
[edit]A disappointment that this series ever stopped. Idea, Caleb grown up now walking in his fathers footsteps as the new Sheriff of Trinity and his father Lucas Buck still around as the old master up to his usual tricks... just in case CBS ever want to continue this great and intelligent TV series...
