POV
[edit]Maybe I'm thinking irrationally but, isn't it Wikipedia policy to never assume a POV, no matter the situation? Was it ever officially released by the producers of this film that they are directly or intentionally parodying Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest, George W. Bush, and Dick Cheney? I recently saw Willem Dafoe on Live! with Regis and Kelly whereas he was reluctant to officially state that he (or anyone involved) directly asserts a connection between this film and the Bush Administration or American Idol. I admit the connections are obvious, but doesn't assuming this disregard WP:NPOV policy? Unless the production company released a statement acknowledging the connections? Otherwise shouldn't we put "a possible connection"?. — CRAZY`(IN)`SANE 18:06, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- That's not POV at all! What you want is WP:V. Cburnett 15:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's very hard to miss the references to Bush. It starts with the physical similarity , continues with references to the war in Iraq, terrorists, and other events that happened during Bush's administration, but it continues with jokes that very obviously ridicule George W. Bush, like the time the president says "I just wanted to prove to my dad that any idiot could be the president...", and obviously the whole story line where the president doesn't have his own opinion and his advisors and speech-writers make all the decisions for him also relates to what is commonly said about Bush. Isn't it a little racist the two muslim actors, who have a substantial amount of screen time, dont even have wikipedia entries?
- Uh, first, sign your comments. Second, if they're new actors and nobody's ever heard of them, clearly they won't have entries yet. We're not keeping them off or anything. Third, start the articles if you have a problem with it. Jeez, be bold. --MPD01605 (T / C) 18:50, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Isn´t the tagline the same used in the book "The Running Man", by Stephen King? Ken Bruce
Mistake in plot.
[edit]William Williams was not killed by the bomb detonation. He is later showed with Sally in the "Where are They Now" part of the movie. -yoshirox10 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.36.234 (talk) 15:14, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
