Hormel strike
[edit]The Hormel strike documented in American Dream was not a "wildcat strike." Wildcat strike means there is no vote taken, and that strike action is taken by workers without going through their unions autorization process. Local P-9 voted to authorize the strike, and the UFCW International also authorized the strike. The International withdrew strike authorization later, even though there was no provision in the unions constitution to withdraw strike authorization after it has been issued. 71.98.107.77 21:05, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
