Neutrality dispute - ABA President Reels Against Mortgage Brokers on CNBC
[edit]The section reads like a personal rant against Ed Yingling and the financial market in general, not as neutral content appropriate for an encyclopedia article. I'd suggest extensive rewriting by someone familiar with the subject to address the bias, clean up style and tone, and add citations. Or perhaps the section should just be removed altogether. The above mentioned article provided no references and was highly subjective. It was removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.43.194.10 (talk) 02:47, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Bankers Association of America?

Neutrality dispute - Sources
[edit]Most of the sources in this article are from ABA publications (sources 3 a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m; 6; 7; 8; & 9) including their own website. Sources 8 & 9 neither give proof of accuracy from ABA their selves and therefore is not reliable. Sittinonmybumm (talk) 02:58, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- I'd feel free to rewrite or delete as your best judgement tells you — it's important that the article not be just a promotional piece.842U (talk) 12:19, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Removed Logo
[edit]The logo that was uploaded is no longer the ABA logo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrewimhof (talk • contribs) 20:25, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Looks close enough if you compare with the one here. If you do not have a newer, please do not delete the old one. Thank you MarB4 •ɯɒɹ• 20:37, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
No references other than AMA's own website
[edit]All of the content comes from the ABA website so I've added the sentence "The American Bankers Association website describes their" to all ref's material until sources from news, journals, reports (not from AMA) can be found. In other wikipedia articles all mention of philanthropy that is referenced only by the article's own website is automatically removed. Does anyone have any valid references for the foundation work etc, acceptable to wikipedia standards?
This is an extremely important Association with a pivotal, far-reaching role in not just American finance but in global finance, that merits a complete, robust description. Currently it reads as if it were a small NGO, an advocate and educator for all things banking while also committed to philanthropy. oceanflynn 15:40, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
