Why is the AASCU connected to Category:Lists_of_universities_and_colleges_in_Canada ? PKT 13:28, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It shouldn't... it should be connected to just a list of universities and colleges in the USA... is there such a category? Streltzer 18:43, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed this. Streltzer 22:53, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion of List of Members

[edit]

I don't think we should have the list of members in this article... it is now way too long. Instead, we should add the Category to each member institution, which I did to about 10 universities before I got tired of doing it. Any comments? Streltzer 17:09, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and deleted the list, copied below in case anyone objects and wants to put it back in without re-typing. Streltzer 22:47, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Months have passed by and no objections have been raised, so the list is now deleted...it takes up too much space, and since the link to the updated and current AASCU's membership list is already in the article, this list is no longer necessary to keep around. I have now deleted it. Streltzer 18:25, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In need of a maintenance tag?

[edit]

This was the line that kind of got my attention:

By delivering America’s promise by being stewards of education ...

Huh? Ignoring the grammatical snafu, "America's promise"? And self-appointed "stewards of education"?

Things continue to get "deeper" with the Purpose and Public policy agenda sections.

Between these lofty goals and the coherency loss at each occurrence of "stewards", I find it difficult to retain an unbiased view. I was going to ask for input as to the proper template to use from WP:Template_index/Cleanup#Neutrality_and_factual_accuracy, but I think these issues with the current page can be effectively addressed by reverting to this early version of the page, but if somebody feels like undoing my efforts for a more nuanced approach, I will not be offended.
