[edit]I ran out of room on the "edit summary" line. The reasons to move "Anne Stewart, Marchioness of Londonderry" to "Amelia Stewart, Viscountess Castlereagh" are all to do with users being able to find the article, in conformity with the Wikipedia naming conventions.
- "Anne" was her second name. She went by her first name, "Amelia", or by Emily with her husband and friends.
- Her husband was styled Viscount Castlereagh for all of his several decades of prominence in British politics until the final year before his death when he succeeded to his father's title, Marquess of Londonderry. For that reason, his article is quite properly titled Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh. Hers should match.
- She was also famous, in her own right, as Lady Castlereagh, one of the patronesses of Almack's.
The contents of the article need both cleanup and expanding. That for another day. Dunnettreader (talk) 02:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
This is going to require a good bit of reorganization as well as expansion. So to start, I'm just getting down all the bits of info that should be in the article, together with wikilinks to relevant articles. Then I'll tackle the layout and reorder the material, eliminating duplications along the way. Dunnettreader (talk) 21:45, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
