Moved from Ameerega trivittata, which was obviously an error; this frog has always been 'trivittatus' and the content of the page uses that spelling universally. Leperflesh (talk) 16:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
- Ameerega trivittata is the correct binomial name for this species. The genus Ameerega is feminine and so the masculine 'trivittatus' becomes 'trivittata'. This is just one of the rules of taxonomy, see: binomial nomenclature. Cf. :'Ranitomeya fantastica' formerly 'Dendrobates fantasticus'. --DSWebb (talk) 11:30, 21 February 2019 (UTC)
