Hagiography and relics
[edit]I've corrected a lot of sentences that didn't make sense but this one defeats me:
"Two portraits of Barlow and one of his father, Sir Alexander."
What about the portaits - Where are they? Richerman (talk) 17:48, 9 February 2009 (UTC) This sentence defeated me: "He would often visit his girlfriend, the prettiest girl in the village , at their relationship of Wardley Hall". Also the link to Ref.2 is invalid.--PrivateUser46 (talk) 11:45, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
(Pipera (talk) 01:22, 7 February 2020 (UTC)) There is no evidence that Mary is the daughter of Urian Brereton. This Mary is the the daughter of William Brereton and Jane Warburton of Cheshire. I suggest that this be changed.
- Hi Pipera, I have changed it back because something does not add up. The Mary (daughter of Sir William Brereton Knight and Jane Warburton) you mention is baptized in 1595[1] and died unmarried. I think something is off here. For the Mary previously mentioned (before your edit) it does seem to match.[2]Garnhami (talk) 22:54, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
(Pipera (talk) 04:04, 8 February 2020 (UTC))Have a look at the following https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Brereton-397 she was born in 1552.
- Hi Pipera do you have any other sources? I can not find anything except your link (which is rather weak) to support what you state. I do find other links that support the currently stated relationship. For example: http://saintsandrelics.co.uk/onewebmedia/12%20%20%20%20St%20Ambrose%20Barlow.pdf also states what is mentioned on the page. For the moment I would thus not change it to your statements.Garnhami (talk) 10:35, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
