The article briefly describes the AmbientTalk programming language. Although this is not an industrial-strength programming language, it has spurred some research interests over the past couple of years. The programming language is available for download to the general public and has been documented in several research papers (a short list can be found here: [1]).
The intended target audience of this article are computer scientists or programming language adepts who wish to gain a short understanding of what "AmbientTalk" is about. The article identifies it as a programming language, briefly highlights why it is potentially interesting and highlights the programming languages that have influenced it.
