Math
[edit]Please convert the math into latex please. Danke.100110100 08:09, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
I edited the number of rice grains, as it was incorrectly calculated. The original number was calculated as 2^64, which would mean the board started with 2 grains on the first square and doubled from there. But the story says that they started with 1 on the first square. To correctly calculate that, it would be (2^63)+1, which is the number I edited in. Greenleaf547 (talk) 02:09, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
I undid the revision. You calculated the number of grains on the final square, not the total number on the board. 1 + 2 + 4 + ... + 2^63 is in fact 2^64 - 1. 2A02:1811:C07:A000:1DF:EEBA:C772:C2B1 (talk) 00:29, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
