Season
[edit]Note that I've violated my usual rule of thumb about not listing the season of occurrence for a mushroom species. A mushroom that occurs across a broad geographical area can fruit at very different times of year depending on when the local mushroom season is. However, the geographical range of Amanita velosa is rather narrow (its restricted to the California floristic province), hence, the season listed is accurate throughout its range. source change
[edit]The info from mushroomexpert.com that deals with no species of amanita being eaten has been removed from the site (Michael Kuo removed all of the info on the edibility of the mushrooms on the site). Is there any other sources out there that have that similar info? If so, please change the site on site note #7. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebestofall007 (talk • contribs) 05:20, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
