Personal life
[edit]There is a reference to an ex-husband and to a partner on the RBC board, both of which are relevant to the conflict of interest issues that are described in detail, but no names given and no personal life section as in many biographies. Why would these names not be provided in the article?
Conflict of Interest with RBC Temporary foreign worker program
[edit]Allegations of Lang attempting to scuttle a story on TFW for RBC, then doing a "soft" interview with the CEO. Wait for further investigations, or more people to go on record, or introduce a criticisms section now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.219.56.130 (talk) 21:51, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
Criticism section
[edit]Per the WP:BLP policy: "In most cases a separate section devoted to criticism, controversies, or the like should be avoided in an article because these sections call undue attention to negative viewpoints. Articles should present positive and negative viewpoints from reliable sources fairly, proportionately, and without bias." I am making an attempt to the meld the criticism section now into the main body of the article, checking source quality etc. as I do so. ZarhanFastfire (talk) 18:39, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
- Done. Any thoughts (bearing in mind the policy)? You know, I almost wonder whether it might be a good idea to start a CBC conflict of interest page which would start with the Amanda Lang stuff (since it led to their current policy, which has also since led to Evan Solomon being fired), and just refer to the conflict of interest stories as references to such a page.
