Alyeska does not just refer to the ski resort, which is where the entry for "Alyeska" was exclusively redirected before. Redirecting soley to a commercial ski resort is logically unethical.

Alaska acording the contemprorary albanian language which leads directly from the more than 9000 years old protoalbanian ( G.L. Sforza) language means further (ale reading alye - further) and ska (reading sko - no more)- further no more.

"Alyeska is an archaic spelling of the Aleut word Alaska meaning "mainland", "great country", or "great land". The American state of Alaska derives its name from this word." This is not true. Alaska's name comes from the Aleut word "Alashka" (sorry if I butchered the spelling, I don't know how to spell it, only how to pronounce it. Alashka is the counterpart to unalashka, with alashka meaning "The big land" and unalashka meaning "Not the big land." As for Alyeska, while I can't swear to it, I have always heard it was a Dena'ina word. I will work on finding proof of this, but I was born and raised in Alaska and still live here.
