How much oversight do colleges and universities normally have over alumni associations?
I've deleted the list of alumni associations, since so many schools and organisations have them that such a list will be either incredibly incomplete or totally unusable (and probably both). --Cruci 15:24, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
>This should be removed again. Considering the number of universities out there, this list would run into the thousands, if not tens of thousands. Any list should have notability standards for inclusion, perhaps. Kagawiki (talk) 05:37, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
Organization and Membership
At my alma mater, membership in the alumni association is automatic for all graduates. I'm not sure if it is even possible to quit your membership. It is organized by the university itself. Its main purpose seems to be to raise funds for the university. Bostoner (talk) 17:38, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
