Translation of department names
[edit]First, I translated fakultet as department--the clearest English-language cognate, I believe. Yes, I know there are arguments, they are not precisely equivalent, but seems closer to the American-style "department" than the classic, largely self-independent university "faculty" or "school," especially at a university this young.
Arts (Искусств): Not 100% sure if this is in the sense of "art school" or a more general "liberal arts," although it's highly likely to be the former, based on the Russian.
Open Education (Открытого образования): Not 100% sure if this is in the idea of "continuing education/place to put non-degree-pursuing students" or "experimental/self-structured programs", but unless some educators way out in Altai Krai have been bustin' loose lately, it's highly likely to be the former.Doprendek (talk) 21:03, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
