Anticholinergic
[edit]It seems to me that Alpha-1 blockers are probably a type of Anticholinergic, but I have no idea if this is true or not. In any case surely they fit into a bigger category, it would be good to state the larger class in the opening paragraph. Could someone more knowledgeable than me add that to the article. --Keithonearth (talk) 03:40, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Updating the page
[edit]We are masters degree students in pharmacy in the university of Iceland. Our mission was to update one article which provided little information or create a new one that didn't exist.
New categories have been added and older ones updated. Pictures been added and table with structures of the medicines in this category. The article have been branched out and branched in. Categories added was medical uses, pharmacokinetics, list of alpha-1 blockers, history, SAR and mechanism of action. Interactions, adverse effect and intrductions were updated an new informations added.
Source of every new information is in the reference chapter. References needed for some of the text that was before. We added new text with reference but not everywhere.
More informations can of course be added to the site.
Alpha-1 vs. α1
[edit]I noticed most of the other articles mentioning this use the letter α over spelling out alpha where possible for brevity if nothing else. The literature tends to prefer the letter as well. Does anyone have an issue with converting alpha-1 outside of the first mention in the lede to α1? A Shortfall Of Gravitas (talk) 08:37, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
