University of Texas
[edit]I have transferred the following info from the article:--Ken Gallager (talk) 16:25, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- I believe Alonzo Elliot was registered for advanced Russian at the University of Texas - Austin in the late 1950s to early 1960s. He was a classmate of mine. At the time I knew him he was composing music to a Russian poem: Zhdee menya (Wait for me). At the same time he announced that he was also working on an opera, but I have no idea of the title or how much progress had been made. He would often speak of an (old?) automobile he has (or once had) to which he had given the name "Sir John Rabbit." To the best of my knowledge he did not have his automobile with him in Austin. He was clearly the eldest student in our classes in Russian. I feel that the Alonzo Elliot I knew at the University of Texas must be the same individual cited above. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nkh8305 (talk • contribs) 18:37, August 21, 2009
